2016 Banff Mountain Book Competition Award Winners

The Banff Mountain Film and Book Festival has been a premier film, book, and photography event for 41 years. The 2016 event was hosted by the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity in Banff, Canada. It took places over 9 days from October 29 to November 6, 2016. During the course of the event an international jury selects and awards over $50,000 in prizes for films and books that were featured in the competition.

During the 2016 Banff Mountain Book Festival, 27 finalists were selected out of 147 book submissions. The jury for the book competition included: Paul Pritchard, Hilaree O’Neill, and Harry Vandervlist.
