Big Sky, Montana – Earlier this week Big Sky Resort announced their vision for the next ten years. They plan to invest $150 million into the mountain resort and village. Big Sky’s $150 Million investment is part of a “symbiotic relationship” with their development partners and others who plan to invest $1 billion into the greater Big Sky area.

The announced was made via an official Big Sky Resort press release and the publishing of a new website, BigSky2025.com. Upgrades will include a new lift system, upgraded mountain village, better lodging, shopping, and dining, more on mountain activities, community improvements, and more.
The Big Sky 2025 website states that their investment plans include:
2015-2017
- EVERETT’S 8800 – Mountaintop restaurant with fine American Alpine Fare opened in winter 2014-15 at the top of Andesite Mountain. Opened for summer service 2016.
- MONTANA JACK CRAFT BURGERS + CRAFT BEER – In winter 2015-16, a Mountain Village landmark was transformed with All-American comfort food and a beer list of over 100. Opened for summer service 2016.
- ADVENTURE MOUNTAIN – Summer 2016 Ramcharger scenic chair lift opened to the top of Andesite Mountain. New family activities including kids zip line, bungee trampoline, and gemstone mining. On-going efforts to enliven the summer mountain experience now includes three scenic chair lifts, accessing over 40 miles of mountain biking and hiking trails.
- BOWL 6-PLACE BUBBLE CHAIR – A new high-speed, high-tech Doppelmayr lift whisks skiers to the top in just three minutes. Six passengers per chair, heated seats and a “Big Sky Blue” bubble. Three new groomed runs in this high cirque. Upon completion for winter 2016-17, it will be the most advanced lift in North America.
