Avalanche Kills French Skier Near Mount Ciamoussè Near Limone Piemonte, Italy

Cuneo, Italy – On Friday, December 23, 2016 a skier was caught, buried, and killed in an off piste avalanche near Mount Ciamoussè in the Giosolette Valley near Limone Piemonte in the province of Cuneo, Italy. Two others were injured.
According to LaStampa.it, a group of skiers were divided into two heli ski groups and were accompanied by two mountain guides. The first group skied a shady slope without incident. When the second group skied, they were caught in a large avalanche.
Three people were caught in the slide that started at approximately 2400 meters. One person was completely buried about 50cm deep.
