Avalanche Kills Skier On Aiguille de la Tsa In Valais, Switzerland

Valais, Switzerland – On Saturday, February 24, 2018 four Swiss skiers were caught in an avalanche in a couloir on the Aiguille de la Tsa near the village of Arolla in the canton of Valais in Switzerland. One of the skiers, a 40-year-old female, died in the hospital on Sunday from the injuries sustained in the accident.

The four skiers left the Tsa Mountain Refuge in two groups and were moving through a couloir at about 3600 meters when they were caught in the slide. Rescuers arrive via helicopter, recovered all of the skiers, and transported them to the hospital.
