Riddes, Switzerland – On March 16 2018 six people were caught in an avalanche in the Vallon d’Arbi in Riddes in Valais, Switzerland. Unfortunately, 3 people did not survive.

Rescuers responded on ground avalanche measured 400 meters long and 150 meters wide. According to Luzernerzeitung.ch the skiers did not have avalanche beacons. The search for the victims took multple days as some of the victims were buried under 6-meters of snow.
