Bavaria, Germany – On January 5, 2019 a 20-year-old skier was caught, buried, and killed in an avalanche below the Stoißer Alm on Teisenberg in the Chiemgauer Alps in Bavaria, Germany.

The victim was on ski tour with a group when the accident occurred upon their descent. No one else in the group was injured. Rescuers were able to locate and extract the victim. Unfortunately, she did not survive.
