Faistenau, Austria – On Monday, January 14, 2019 a roof avalanche killed a 47-year-old roofing worker in Faistenau in Salzburg, Austria.
The accident occurred as four roofers were clearing roofs of snow. According to sn.at, the men triggered the avalanche after stabbing the snow once with a snow shovel. All four men were caught in the slide and carried six meters off the roof.
