Avalanche Kills Five Tourists At Babusar Top In Pakistan

Babusar Top, India – On May 30, 2018 five members of the Tableeghi Jamaat were killed in an avalanche that buried their Jeep while they were returning from a recreational trip to see snow at 4173-meter Babusar Pass on the N-15 National Highway and connects Gilgit Baltistan with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in Pakistan.

Six people were in the vehicle when it was buried in the avalanche. Rescue operations began immediately, but only one person was pulled from the debris alive. Five people did not survive.
