
Bitlis, Turkey – On January 21, 2018 an avalanche struck a group of Turkish soldiers during a military operation in the mountains near Hizan in the province of Bitlis in southeastern Turkey. At this point 5 soldiers are confirmed dead and 12 others are injured.
