Jammu & Kashmir – On Thursday, January 3, 2019 a soldier was killed when an army post was hit by an avalanche near the Line Of Control in the Sawjian sector the Poonch district of Jammu & Kashmir in India.
The avalanche occurred in the morning. It buried two soldiers. Rescuers were on the scene immediately. One soldier was found dead at the scene and the other was transported to the hospital.
The victim was identified as Lance Naik Sapan Mehra of Knagra, Himachal Pradesh (TheKashmirImages.com).
