Pirin Mountains, Bulgaria – On Saturday, February 17, 2018 an woman in her 20’s was caught, buried, and killed in an avalanche near the Sinanitsa Hut near Momin Peak in the Pirin Mountains near Bansko, Bulgaria.

According to Focus-News.net, the woman was with two other people at the time of the accident. The group was walking on a mountain ridge when the victim fell and triggered the slide.The other two individuals were uninjured. They were able to alert authorities
Rescuers responded via snowmobile. A rescue dog located the woman’s body. She was buried roughly 4 meters deep (DNES.dir.bg). Unfortunately, the woman did not survive.
