Sochi, Russia – On January 5, 2018 two skiers from Moscow were killed in an avalanche in the mountain resort of Krasnaya Polyana in Sochi, Russia.
The avalanche occurred around 2300 meters while three skiers were on a closed area. Two of the skiers were involved in the slide and the other escaped. Rescuers responded to the accident, but the skiers did not survive.
