Kungsleden, Sweden – In June 2018, Emelie Forsberg set the Fastest Known Time (FKT) on the Kundsleden Trail in Swedish Lapland. Forsberg completed the 450 kilometer trail in 4 days, 21 hours. Congrats!

The previous FKT on Kungsleden Trail was set in 2017 by Norwegian Sondre Almdahl who completed the trail in 6 days, 2 hours, 51 minutes.

The Kundsleden, or King’s Trail, travels from Abisko in the north to Hemevan in the south. It travels through Vindelfjällen Nature Reserve, one of the largest protected areas in Europe. The highest point is Tjäktja Pass, 1,150 m (3,770 ft) and the lowest point is Kvikkjokk, 305 m (1,001 ft) (Wikipedia.org). Learn more about the Kungsleden at DistantNorth.com.

Yesterday finishing Kungsleden trail I could hardly believe I had done it! When I started to plan kungsleden I looked at distance, and the hut system and after that I planned day by day after what I thought would be possible to run, but a big big challenge. And to actually do it, to fullfill a dream, a goal was amazing. I had some really tough moments out there, but that is part of the challenge. To challenge and overcome and to see the beauty in it. 4 days and 21 hours ended the 450 km trail challenge in Hemavan. Last record is from @sondreamdahl in 6 days, 2 hours and 51 minutes. Thank you all for cheering, means so much ❤️ And to the best team @philippreiter007 @mireia_miro @koastalforest @erikahlstromsweden @lymbus_life And to @salomon And @swedishlapland For your support ❤️And @stflaponia, @visitammarnas , kvikkjokk fjällstation and @hemavantarnaby for the stay in beautiful Hemavan!
