Erik Roner Killed In Skydiving Accident In California

Skydiving Accident Takes Life Of Erik Roner

parachute-704442_640Erik Roner died during a skydiving accident on the morning of September 28, 2015. Roner, an action sports star, was parachuting in to the Fourth Annual Squaw Valley Institute Celebrity Golf Tournament in Squaw Valley, California. During the landing he was off target and hit a tree.

According to Powder.com, Roner was hanging in his chute 25 to 30 feet off the ground for 40 minutes before he could be reached. He was then transported to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Roner had a solid career as an action sports star. He was a ski-BASE jumping pioneer, starred in multiple TGR films, performed stunts on MTV’s Nitro Circus, and hosted the TGR series Locals on Outside TV.

This is a terrible tragedy. Erik left behind his wife and two children. RIP Erik. You will be missed.
