Breckenridge, Colorado – On October 3 to 7, 2016 the International Snow Science Workshop, or ISSW, will return to Breckenridge, Colorado. The ISSW is a bi-annual conference that facilitates “the interdisciplinary exchange of ideas and experiences between snow science researchers and practitioners.” This is the premier conference for snow and avalanche professionals. If you have the opportunity, it’s definitely worth attending the ISSW 2016.

This 5-day event will consist of presentations, field trips, and social events. It’s the ideal venue to explore new concepts in snow science theory and to discover the latest avalanche research. Check out a full schedule of ISSW presentations and events online at ISSW.org.

The ISSW happens every other year and rotates between US, Europe, and Canada. In 2014, the event took place in Banff, Alberta. The next ISSW will take place from October 7 to 12, 2018 in Innsbruck, Austria. It will be back in Canada in 2020 and then again in the US in 2022.
