We hiked over the mountains in Kakwa Provincial Park in British Columbia and packrafted out Jarvis Creek. Along the way we saw a bear, glaciers, a river flowing into a cave, and a valley that people rarely visit. This was one of the more challenging packraftng trips I’ve done because we went into it without a lot of information. I could not find detailed satellite images of it Jarvis Creek We knew there were some rapids but that was it. Also I was not sure the route I’d planned over the mountains would work or whether we’d get “cliffed out” and have to turn around. In the end the route worked and it was an amazing trip but it’s not for beginners.
