Recall: Scarpa F1 Evo Ski Boot

Scarpa Voluntarily Recalls Scarpa F1 Evo Ski Boot

Scarpa is recalling all F1 EVO ski boots. The F1 Evo touring boots were sold from Scarpa authorized dealers between October 2014 and January 2015. If you have the Scarpa F1 Evo ski boot, stop using them immediately and contact Scarpa.

According to Scarpa, the voluntary recall affects both men’s and women’s versions of the F1 Evo ski boot. The recall issue involves the Tronic System Component. The Tronic System can unexpectedly switch from ski mode to walk mode, which can cause the boot to release from the binding. There have been two reported incidents/injuries that involved torn knee ligaments due to boots releasing from bindings.
