SNOTEL Data: The Current Western US Snowpack – SWE % Of Normal – February 1, 2018


It’s February and winter should be in full swing, but it’s been rough for the Mountain West overall. While many spots are slowly playing catch up, there are a still a few spots where the snowfall is above average. If you’re not having the white winter that you’re dreaming of, it’s time to head to Wyoming, Montana, Idaho, or Washington. Bring your ski kit and get ready to ski pow. It’s time for a road trip.

Let’s take a look at the snow data for the western US compared to normal. Below is the Westwide SNOTEL Current Snow Water Equivalent % of Normal as of February 1, 2018.
