Whisper Ridge Is “North America’s Best Kept Secret” So Don’t Tell Your Friends
Last winter, Whisper Ridge had a soft opening. Not many people knew that this 60,000 acre backcountry resort was even open. They chose to test the waters and see what happened. But this season, the backcountry resort is officially open for business.

Whisper Ridge is a unique ski resort. There are no lifts, no lodges, and no season passes. Instead qualified guides whisk you to the top of the mountain where you access advanced and expert terrain with untouched snow via eight PistenBully snowcats. Think chutes, bowls, pillows, trees, and every other type of terrain. With only 12 guests and two guides per cat, this is the ultimate crowd-free experience and with a single day starting at $450 per person or $5400 for a private cat, it’s going to be a hit.
Whisper Ridge is located near Paradise, Utah in the Wasatch Mountains – a powder mecca that boasts about 330 inches of average snowfall. It’s about an hour north of Salt Lake City International Airport. This hidden gem is being called North America’s Best Kept Secret – a name it deserves as it is the largest backcountry resort on the continent and it’s totally under-the-radar.
Guests can choose to ski for the day or stay overnight at one of 10 luxury mountain top yurts complete with hot tub, fire pit, and stand-alone bathroom and shower. It’s an all-inclusive experience.

We did a bit of research on Whisper Ridge to write this post. Standard.net (and other sites) mention helicopter skiing, but we could not find any info on helicopters on the actual Whisper Ridge website. Vamos a ver.
