The Piolet d’Or is an annual mountaineering award that awards the most prestigious climbs of the year. The 2018 Piolet d’Or winners were selected from a short list of 58 impressive climbs.

The 2018 Piolet d’Or Winnners include:
- Czech Republic’s Zdeněk Hák and Marek Holeček for their ascent of 8068-meter Gasherbrum I’s Southwest Face (2,600m, ED+ WI5+ M7) – July 25-August 1
- Japan’s Kazuya Hiraide and Kenro Nakajima for their ascent of the northeast face and traverse of 7611-meter Shispare (2,700m, WI5 M6) – August 18-24
- France’s Frédéric Degoulet, Benjamin Guigonnet and Hélias Millerioux for their ascent Nupste’s south face (2,200m, WI6 M5+) – October 14-21
- Special Mention: USA’s Chantel Astorga, Anne Gilbert Chase and Jason Thompson or their first ascent of the southwest face on India’s 6596-meter Nilkantha on a route they called Obscured Perception (WI5 M6 A0 70°, 1,400m) – September 28-October 2
- Special Mention: Alex Honnold “for his overall contributions to the sport during 2017.”
- 10th Lifetime Achievement Award: Andrej Stremfelj
