Great Sand Dunes National Park, Colorado – On Monday, June 29, 2017 hikers found the body Bryan Skilinski, 40, of Phoenix, New York near Milwaukee Peak and Marble Mountain in the Great Sand Dunes National Park and Preserve in Colorado. This was the second time Skilinski got lost in the park in 2017.

This time, Skilinksi had been missing since May. A thorough search was initiated after his car was parked for several days at a picnic area without an overnight pass. Rescuers searched a good portion park, but were unable to find Skilinski. When his body was found it was in an area that had been covered in deep snow during initial searches.
In February 2017, Skilinski had gotten lost in the park after becoming disoriented while hiking in snow. Luckily, he was rescued after 5 days.
