Aspen, Colorado – In September 2017, Aspen Snowmass and Dynafit created a multi-season partnership to promote uphill skiing at the resorts in Aspen. Uphill skiing has seen steady growth in recent years. Promoting this niche of the ski industry seems like a logical step for resorts and gear companies.

According to the press release from SGB Media, “the partnership includes the exclusive equipment rental and demo of Dynafit uphill skiing hardgoods at the resort’s Four Mountain Sports stores, the sponsorship of Aspen Snowmass’ ski mountaineering events and a variety of other collaborative marketing activations.”
This opportunity will provide guests with access to the “full uphill skiing experience.” Ideally this program will show people that “uphill skiing can be a very safe, low-impact, high-fitness-value sport that can be enjoyed every day close to civilization.”
The Dynafit gear that will be available for rent is “a collection specifically designed for those who ski uphill for everyday fitness, usually in a resort setting.” Guests can take uphill lessons via the Aspen ski school.
If you give it a try, please remember to follow any and all uphill policies of the resort. At this point, the program will be in effect for the 17/18, 18/19, and 19/20 season. This is a fantastic opportunity to promote the sport of inbounds uphill skiing. Take advantage of it!
