Mount Ara, Armenia – On Sunday, January 28, 2018 a female mountaineer was caught, buried, and killed in an avalanche near the shrine of “Kuys Barbara” on 2577-meter Mount Ara in the Aragatsotn Province of Armenia.
Rescuers responded to the accident. They found one person without signs of life and another person who had suffered a leg injury. The victim was in her early 30’s. She was part of a group of 18 mountaineers.
