Avalanche Kills Solo Ski Tourer On Mont Trelod In Near Chevaline, France

Mont Trelod, France – On March 24, 2018 a 56-year-old solo ski tourer was killed in an avalanche while skiing a north couloir of 2181-meter Mont Trelod on the Bauges Massif in Chevaline in the Haute-Savoie of France.

The skier had left on Saturday morning from Bellecombe-En-Bauges. When the man did not return from his ski tour, his family alerted authorities. Rescuers located the victim partially buried in an avalanche.
