Val d’Aosta, Italy – On February 3, 2019 a skier was killed in an avalanche near 2616-meter Punta Oilletta in the Aosta Valley in Saint-Pierre in Italy.

Three skiers were caught int he slide. Two were unharmed. Unfortunately, the 3rd skier did not survive. The avalanche measured roughly 200 meters long. The avalanche danger was 3/5.
The victim was identified as 44-year-old Andrea Pogge.
