Buryatia, Russia – On January 28, 2017 a tourist from the Irkutsk region was killed in an avalanche near the “Big Mama” mountain in the Kabansky region of Buryatia in Russia. The victim was pulled out by other tourists in the area.
The Big Mama area is a popular tourist destination. EMERCOM of Russia is urging tourists to avoid mountainous terrain.
