Chamonix, France – On April 30, 2018 a 35-year-old French skier was caught, buried, and killed in an avalanche on the Glacier Rond on the near the Aiguille du Midi near Chamonix, France.

The skier was part of a group of 4 skiers. The other three skiers were not impacted by the avalanche. Rescue was challenging due to bad weather.
