
Tuva, Russia – On Thursday, March 16, 2017 400 sheep and 21 cows were buried in an avalanche in the Uzug-Kyry Bai Taiga district in the republic of Tuva in southern Siberia in Russia.
Shepherds alerted authorities and 20 rescuers responded to the scene. Luckily, no humans were involved as the avalanche took place about 8 kilometers from the parking and near settlements.
Rescuers note that the avalanche involved 180 cubic meters of snow.
