
Jumgal, Naryn, Kyrgyzstan – At around 15:00 on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 an avalanche tumbled out of the mountains burying and killing a 44-year-old shepherd. Local citizens and relatives began the search for the buried individual. More rescuers were able to respond later. The search lasted until nightfall. The body of the shepherd was found at 9:00 on 29 December 2016.
The Ministry Of Emergency Situations reported that the body was “was found deceased by relatives, but they failed to notify rescuers due to lack of communication. As soon as such an opportunity, they reported the ministry.” (Rus.Azattyk.org via Google Translate).
