Skiers Buried In Avalanche At Turkey Ski Resort During Live TV Interview

During a live TV interview with a manager at Kartepe Ski Resort in Turkey an avalanche buries numerous people in the background. The manager remains calm and continues the interview, while other people begin to search for the buried individuals. IlGazzettino.it reports that there were no fatalities.

It appears that this may have been a roof-avalanche, but it is hard to tell.

Instead, he simply pointed to the avalanche and remarked on how impress it was to have caught the natural weather phenomenon on camera.

Turning to the reporter, he says: “The heavy snows has had [a significant effect]. Those who like snow, skiing , are coming here.

After the interview, the footage cuts to a group of horrified skiers desperately trying to dig family and friends out of the snow.

Several women can be heard crying and screaming as they dig for survivors.

It is not clear whether there were any injuries or fatalities as a result of the avalanche.

This is the disturbing moment a hotel manager giving a TV interview is utterly unfazed by an avalanche crashing down behind him and burying guests.

In the chilling video clip the man is talking to the camera about how brilliant his resort and barely bats at eyelid at the drama behind him. Moments later panicked guests can be seen desperately trying to dig out their loved ones from the snow.

The manager, who is being interviewed at the Turkish ski resort of Kartepe for local television, says: “The heavy snow had much effect. Those who like snow, skiing are coming here.”

Then as a huge cloud of heavy snow cascades down the mountain he simply turns, waves generally in the direction and continues: “As you see an avalanche comes from higher up. You caught an avalanche on tape.”
