
Val d’Isere, France – On Sunday, February 18, 2018 a 44-year-old skier and his 11-year-old daughter were caught, buried, and killed in an avalanche while skiing off piste on the Combe du Géant the Pisaillas Glacier sector of Val d’Isere in the Haute-Savoie of France.
The accident occurred at roughly 2930 meters on a run that was closed due to avalanche risk. Rescuers responded to the accident immediately, but they were unable to save the father and daughter.
