Deer Valley Resort Acquired By New Aspen Affiliate/KSL Partners Resort Group

Deer Valley Resort, Utah – On Monday, August 21, 2017 Deer Valley Resort announced that it will be acquired by the new ski resort company formed by Henry Crown and CO. and KSL Capital Partners earlier in 2017 for an undisclosed amount. The latest deal should be completed before the 2017/2018 ski season.

The deal did not include Solitude Mountain Resort, which was purchased by Deer Valley in 2015. It will also not affect season pass sales or alter Deer Valley’s skier-only rules at this point in time.

When this deal is finalized, the new ski resort company, which still has no name, will have a total of 13 resorts. It should directly compete with Vail Resorts.
