Watch Bikepacking Through South America FroM James May – Part 2
Official Description From YouTube:
Part 1 of 2, this is the story of our journey through South America.
Our expedition was completely unsupported; we carried on our bikes all we needed to survive in varied, and often remote terrain.
Part 1 sees the team getting to know each other and adapting to life on the road. The majority of the expedition members were not seasoned bikers, lessons were learnt quickly as we journeyed south along the shores of lake Titicaca in Peru, then on to Bolivia.
Part 2 of 2, this is the story of our journey through South America.
The expedition was completely unsupported; we carried on our bikes all we needed to survive in varied and often remote terrain.
In part 2 we see the team struggling with the relentless tough roads at altitudes of up too 5000m.
Tired and hungry the expedition overcomes illness along with the struggles of pushing the body at high altitude.
We follow the journey crossing the Andes mountains and into the Atacama desert, the driest place on earth.
