As the outdoor sport industry grows, new brands are constantly popping up and are ready to make their mark. Unfortunately, many of these outdoor industry startups remain local favorites that are overshadowed by bigger and well established leaders of the outdoor sport industry. Between high marketing costs and high costs of production, newer brands often struggle to get a proper foothold in the industry.
The catch-22 is that many of these outdoor industry startups are developing revolutionary products, making game-changing strides in sustainability, and exist to serve a greater philanthropic purpose. In an industry where familiarity and name recognition reign supreme, people are less willing to take a chance on an unknown brand, making it difficult for these pioneering brands to succeed.
ReddyYeti is a digital platform that was created to solve that problem. This platform is dedicated to helping outdoor industry startups in action sports grow while delivering new and innovative brands to subscribers. By uniting community and grassroots organizations, ReddyYeti hopes to help shape the future and progression of the outdoor sports industry.
We do this by telling the story behind the brands, interviewing their founders, personally testing and reviewing gear, and offering a giveaway of their products. Our ultimate goal is to strengthen the outdoor sports community and stimulate innovation and new ideas while giving our subscribers a voice to proactively discover new start ups and the amazing strides they are taking to drastically improve their sport.
Our first ReddyYeti giveaway recently launched, and it highlights four outdoor industry startups who are all currently revolutionizing winter sports.

(May 24th – June 7th) Weeks 1-2 we will be featuring Hummingbird Hammocks and giving away a Single Hammock and Single+ Hammock with tree straps to two lucky winners! The two winners will be announced on Tuesday June 6th at 9pm EST on Facebook live.
Hummingbird Hammocks: was started with a simple desire to build a hammock. Founder and Designer, Chris Loidolt, looked around his parachute rigging loft and used the skydiving materials he had on hand to build himself a hammock. The use of these materials, combined with the design and construction techniques borrowed from the Parachute Industry Association created a hammock that is stronger, far lighter, and much smaller packing than any other hammock on the market.
(June 7th- 21st) Weeks 3-4 we will be featuring Norka Sports and giving away two custom or pre-picked vinyl wraps for a pair of skis, snowboard, longboard, or skateboard to two lucky winners! The two winners will be announced on Tuesday June 21st at 9pm EST Via Facebook Live.
Norka Sports: is a brand new startup that just launched a line of Vinyl wraps for your skis, snowboard, skateboard or longboard. You can put anything on your setup from your girlfriend’s/boyfriend’s face, (yea people do that) to your own sick design. Founded by Jarrett Kunze and 100% made in Montclair, NJ….Yea I said NJ.
(June 21st -Aug 5th) Weeks 5-6 we will be featuring Bam and Tension Climbing; giving away a Bam hangboard, Tension hangboard and a set of wooden campus rungs to three lucky winners! We will announce the three winners on Tuesday July 5th at 9pm EST Via Facebook Live.
Bam Climbing: was founded by Ben Spennuth who created the only hang board capable of continuous adjustment to edge and pocket depth (3.0 – 0.5 cm) and discrete adjustment of sloper angle 15 – 50 deg in 5 deg increments which provides a wide variety of holds from 2 pad to 1/4 pad edges and relatively easy to impossible slopers.The board is made from sustainably sourced wood with great texture and glued for strength. The boards are 100% sourced and manufactured in Denver, CO, USA from local businesses.
Tension Climbing: Also founded by Ben Spannuth and his close friend Will Anglin. They make quality wooden climbing holds, Wooden holds provide a superior training experience when compared to “plastic” climbing holds. Training and climbing on wooden holds is less abrasive on the skin, allowing you to climb and train harder while saving your skin for when you really need it. Additionally, wooden holds are non toxic to manufacture and with their participation in the One Tree Planted program, far more sustainable than the alternatives. In addition, all of Tensions products are made completely in the U.S.A.
(Aug 5th – 19th) Week 7-8 we will be featuring Boulder Denim and giving away a pair of Men’s and Women’s Jeans to two lucky winners! We will announce these two winners on Tuesday July 19th at 9pm EST.
Boulder Denim: Ultra-stretch Stain Resistant Premium Denim. Boulder was founded by two best friends Bradley Spence and Taz Barrett, young entrepreneurs from Vancouver, BC who have spent the past year developing jeans you can climb in. One of our biggest motivations in developing Reddyyeti.com is to create a community. We only plan to support gear we personally test and brands that are actively trying to create a better community, whether it is through philanthropic efforts, outstanding sustainable design, or simply by being heavily involved in community outreach.
