SNOTEL Data: The Current Western US Snowpack – SWE % Of Normal – January 2, 2019

Happy New Year! Can you believe it’s already 2019? Now seems like a good time to take a quick look at the current snowpack across the mountain west. It doesn’t seem like anywhere is super snorkel-worthy. In fact most places are below average snowpack – with a handful of exceptions. Hopefully you have lots of snow in your zone!

Let’s take a look at the snow data for the western US compared to normal. Below is the Westwide SNOTEL Current Snow Water Equivalent % of Normal as of January 2, 2019. You can link to the most recent data from the USDA’s Natural Resources Conservation Service here. It’s updated daily throughout the winter.
