Watch The Crown Traverse – A 600-Mile Mountain Adventure From Missoula To Banff

In the fall of 2015, The North Face sponsored athletes, Mike Wolfe, 38, and Mike Foote, 32, ran 600-miles from Missoula, Montana to Banff, Alberta. Steven Gnam joined them for some of the trip. Their route, called The Crown Traverse, took them through the Crown of the Continent – an 18 million acre area that is one of the largest remaining intact ecosystems in North America.

These ultralight runners chose a high mountain route through rugged terrain that consisted of vertigo inducing ridgelines, gnarly bushwhacking, and plenty of wildlife. The route took them 23 days. In that time they crossed 13 mountain ranges and only 3 paved routes.

Now watch the video highlighting their mountain journey on The Crown Traverse from The North Face:

Amazing footage. Incredible route. Good work!
