The Banff Mountain Film and Book Festival has been a premier film, book, and photography event for 41 years. The 2016 event was hosted by the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity in Banff, Canada. It took places over 9 days from October 29 to November 6, 2016. During the course of the event, an international jury selects and awards over $50,000 in prizes for films and books that were featured in the competition.
