Avalanche Kills 2 In Remote Broghil Valley In Chitral, Pakistan

Chitral, Pakistan – On Thursday, April 6, 2017 an avalanche caught, buried, and killed 2 people near the Chikar Village in the remote Broghil Valley near Darkot Pass in Chitral, Pakistan.

The avalanche occurred around 16:00 while the cousins were tending to cattle and retrieving yaks in the mountains. Local rescuers responded, but were unable to rescue the avalanche victims.

The avalanche victims were identified as Shah Zaman and Mirza Khan. They were cousins.
