Campo Felice, Italy – On Sunday, February 4, 2018 two experienced skiers were killed in an avalanche while skiing off piste in an area called Anfiteatro near the Campo Felice ski area in the Apennine Mountains in Abruzzo, Italy.

The avalanche was several hundred meters. It occurred while three friends were skiing off piste. The trio was dragged into trees. Two people were buried and the third individual was injured, but was able to alert authorities.
