Watch 5 Minutes Of Avalanche Control Work From March 2004 In Ophir, Colorado
This avalanche footage comes out of the San Juan Mountains in Southwestern Colorado near the town of Ophir. After a natural slide blocked the road and cut off power to the area, Telluride Helitrax got the call to do a bit of avalanche control work. This avalanche control work was done on March 2004.
This is still one of the more impressive avalanche control work films out there – over 5 minutes of avalanches. If you haven’t seen this yet, watch it. If you’ve seen it before, it’s worth watching again.
