12-Year-Old Killed In Avalanche In Issyk-Kul, Kyrgyzstan

Issyk-Kul, Kyrgyzstan – At approximately 11 am on February 7, 2017 two shepherd boys were caught and buried in an avalanche in the village of Ken-Suu in the Tyup district in the Issyk-Kul region of Kyrgyzstan.

Villagers responded  and dug out the two boys. Unfortunately,  a 12 year-old-boy did not survive the incident. The other boy was unharmed. The boys had been tending cattle at the time of the slide.
