Fall On Longs Peak In Rocky Mountain National Park Claims Life Of Missoula Man
Rocky Mountain National Park Rangers recovered the body of a Montana man from Longs Peak in Colorado’s RMNP on Sunday, October 4, 2015.

RMNP rangers were notified at 10:30 PM on Friday that the man was overdue to return from a climbing trip to summit Longs Peak at 14,259′. This is when they began their search for Spencer Veysey, 26, of Missoula, Montana.
It was unclear what route Veysey wanted to take to summit the peak. His body was found at the bottom of Lambs Slide, near the Chasm Shelter, on the east face of Longs Peak on Saturday. The body was recovered and flown to Upper Beaver Meadows where it was turned over to the coroner at approximately 11:30 AM on Sunday.
According to the Coloradoan, this is the first death in RMNP this year. There were 3 in 2014.
